Sister Cities International established the Annual Awards Program in 1962 to acknowledge and honor exceptional sister city programs. This prestigious event continues to evolve, embodying the essence of collaboration and fostering connections across borders. The Annual Awards Program is open to current dues-paying members of Sister Cities International with at least one formally recognized sister city partnership.

Winners will be announced during the Annual Awards Gala, which will take place in person on Wednesday, July 17, 2024, in Tacoma, Washington, as part of our Summer Leadership Meetings. Save the date for this exciting event, set to take place in July 2024!
**Important Note:**
Sister cities that received an award in 2023 are ineligible to win the same award for 2024.
